This is one of many cases where TSIG just isn't quite thinking the whole thing through yet. I'm sure they thought it would be innocent enough to put the Netscape and Microsoft logos on the site; thousands of sites do this because they think it's cool to be compatible with Navigator and Internet Explorer. Whatever. . . . What they didn't think through was the fact that they'd be driving traffic right out of their site -- and, in this case, right into the hands of their competitors. (The links to Billboard and LiveConcerts run the same risk, by the way.)

The best thing we can do is continue to provide supportive feedback to the company. Yes, it's frustrating to us all to suffer through these glitches, which have cost many of us paper money. This company has great potential, and we'd all like to see it realized sooner rather than later. I'm encouraged by the fact that TSIG does at least seem to be learning some lessons and making improvements as it goes along. Gordon made some overly optimistic projections about the timing of certain events over the last couple of months; recently, and to our frustration, he seems to be taking a quieter approach. I think this is a lesson learned: he's going to let things solidify before he teases us with projections. It was maybe an unfortunate decision to hire Hastings as the Web developer -- because they are clearly learning on the job -- but they have been impressively receptive to input from us, and I am confident that they are indeed learning on the fly.

I really do share the frustration with the short-term delays and screw ups. But let's continue to work with our company and help it deliver on its longer-term promise. I continue to believe that we're all here for a good reason.
