Raymond,

<<< In the Qur'an, it mentions how his people knew him to be illiterate, and yet somehow words were flowing from his mouth that were more beautiful than anyone had ever written (and than anyone has written).>>>

That doesn't prove anything, hypnosis can produce the same results. I've heard of ten year olds speaking and writing fluent chinese without having ever been affiliated with chinese people. What I want to know is why he never thought it was important to learn to read or write while rubbing shoulders with the scribes for 23 years.

Chris

you are misinterpreting Isaiah 29:

Her is what it says:

11 For you this whole vision is nothing but words sealed in a scroll. And if you give the scroll to someone who can read, and say to him, "Read this, please," he will answer, "I can't; it is sealed."
12 Or if you give the scroll to someone who cannot read, and say, "Read this, please," he will answer, "I don't know how to read."

It says NOTHING about an illiterate reading it only that he CANNOT read it either. Theres no mystery here.
