LesX:
do you think the 98 Americans in prison for perjury should now be pardoned and released?

do you think that all bosses that were dismissed from their jobs for sexual misconduct with their 'underlings' should be returned to their jobs?

And what will replace the "oath"?

You obviously haven't seen some of the newspaper headlines and Clinton jokes that are being published all around the world if you think he is a 'world hero'. To a lot of people he is the laughing stock of your country and a disgrace to the presidential office.

Les, people of all political stripe still respect the office of the Presidency -- regardless of what man is occupying it.

When Clinton two weekends ago went to see "The Lion King" theatrical presentation, one of the people who grinned, shouted an exuberant "Hi!", and waved as his limousine went by was a college girl. She told a reporter that she was personally "disgusted" by his actions as President, and thought he should resign, but that she was "still excited to see the President".

Don't automatically interpret actions such as an enthusiastic American who still respects the Presidency and is excited to see the Presidential motorcade as meaning that "Clinton is a world hero".

I think it's disgusting that you would take enthusiasm and respect for the office of the Presidency, and even respect for the current man holding that office, and imply that people are thereby supporting your personal political views.

I guess that's why international newspapers around the world have been calling for his resignation. Public opinion will be pulled along by the impeachment process, just as it did in Nixon's case. JLA
