Been to a java-enabled website recently? I personally think it's pretty impressive that a web server running on some esoteric machine using AIX can feed an application to you on your Intel x86 or Macintosh machine, and it will run exactly as the developer intended it to, regardless of platform. But maybe that's just me. :)
