Just heard on Bloomberg something about Compaq announcing (warning?) that sales were not as high as expected in Asia. May have heard only part of the whole story. Can someone confirm?

Patrick & ALL, why is the AMD notebook chip bad news for Dell? Dell could switch over to the AMD chip.

How can a $408 price difference between the Intel and AMD CPU's translate to a price difference of $500-1000 in the notebook?

These morons are not comparing apples to apples.

Besides, if AMD can ship these chips in quantity, Intel will narrow the price spread...either way, the spread will narrow in time.
