TDFX showed that it was/how commercially viable to implement. They took the risk. The new comers that want to compete ought to pay a couple of bucks per chip for not having to take the risk. Like Qualcomm. Business is ...

Re. The lawsuit.

My cursory reading of the patent shows it to be nothing more than an implementation of a linear system in parallel. It is hard for me to believe that similar thing haven't been done for years. Am I missing something here? Is there something that makes this implementation unique?
