Maintain my strong sell recommendation on TAVA

I have noticed several posters have confused my bullish stance on the general market with a bullish stance on TAVA. Nothing could be further from the truth.

I covered my TAVA short position some time ago at 5 a share. I recently changed my opinion about the market (including small caps) and have been an aggressive buyer of quality issues. I also covered many other short positions.

TAVA is not a quality issue.

I stand by my analysis of TAVA as a fraudulent stock promotion scheme. TAVA has consistently disappointed investors and is in terrible financial shape. TAVA was forced to obtain a loan from the notorious Sirrom Capital (NYSE:SIR) whose stock has recently collapsed amidst allegations of fraud. TAVA has also massively diluted its shares through the aggressive use of convertible debentures.

I believe it would be dangerous to initiate new short positions in just about ANY stock in the current market climate, due to excessive pessimism, large put/call ratios, and large existing short interest across the board; however, I believe it is equally dangerous to buy and hold shares in weak companies such as TAVA.

Investors should use this opportunity to sell into strength.

If market conditions change...and if TAVA holds above 5 a share, I will probably revisit it as a short candidate.

What's the opinion on TAVA these days?

You still think this will eventually go to 2, but for the short-term, stay out of it?

They have an earnings report coming up soon, and the whisper numbers are far below the analysts' estimates, from what I've heard around the block...

Hmmm.
