I don't know anything about Dreyfus.

Not for anything, but I use a desk for speculation in stocks, a desk for investments, a desk for options and a desk for futures. All different, all selected because they are good in the area I use them for. The options desk is actually good in the Nasdaq stocks as well but I used to work for the firm that I use for speculation in stocks so I've stuck with them.

I think you have to find a firm, preferably in Chicago, that can give you quick fills. I've noticed that even with RAES some firms are just too slow. If you are getting quick fills with reasonable slippage then you're probably okay as long as RAES is up. I forget if they have to run in the orders on the CBOE after a circuit breaker pops....I never remember that stuff. But if so, your fills will be far slower than a firm that has a presence on the floor. Other than that, 99% of the time if you are getting quick fills at reasonable prices you should be okay.

Hi Bev--see my post to Patrick re Schwab

I have also heard that Brown & Co are good

Congrats on your calls--are you still in them??

Between your astrologer and Don Sew, we may have found the holy grail!! Now what can we do to morph them -- now that would be a potent combination:)
