Well Good Luck. I do not intend to demean any particular firm, it's just that some suit the bill for one type of individual better than for the next.

Tom likes Schwab but appears to have a different experience than another.

I'm quite certain another person using my firm....even my own family if they decided....would have a different experience than I at one or more of my firms. I trade a siblings account through a direct desk. Were she to call they would not who she was.

My wife's family used a bank which has since been acquired by PNC. When they called, PNC hopped. When I called....duh.

They no longer have the account and future PNC accounts that fall into my care will be removed ASAP.

You have to be comfortable with the house making the transaction. Tom gets quick confirms. I would like that. Another person may not. I would not like that. Why one does, and another does not is of no consequence, I just want to be amongst the ones that do. Trading is a very time-compressed arena and accepting delay is just not practical.
