Does anyone have the slightest clue as to what's whipsawing this stock today? I'm ready to invest in an antacid company!

Jim: Adaptec controllers seem heavily weighted in the Dell server offerings, judging from a quick survey of the Dell web site. Do you know whether this is a new development or not? There have been some flutterings on the Yahoo thread about a deal with Dell, but nothing in the press.

And this blurb on the Dell Poweredge 2300 server tested by InternetWeek:

"The base PowerEdge 2300 includes a single 350-MHz Pentium II and 128
MB of ECC SDRAM with a 4.5-GB hard disk. Our system shipped with
dual 350-MHz Pentium II processors, 256 MB of ECC SDRAM, six
4.5-GB SCSI hard disks wired to an integrated Ultra Wide SCSI 3 controller with RAID 5 functionality from Adaptec Inc. and a standard Intel EtherExpress Pro 100B PCI 10/100 Ethernet adapter."
