Larry,

This is kind of tiring. I posted that original quote because I thought it was interesting, a friend of mine dug it up. I'm neither a fan of Ken Starr's nor of Bill Clinton's. They're both hypocrites. Bill represents a more socially tolerant spectrum of the ruling elite. Ayatollah, I mean, Judge Starr and company scare the hell out of me. So yes, I would say I meant to leave a negative impression of Ken Starr. On the other hand I recently e-mailed a whole bunch of people a hilarious doctored picture of Bill & Hill showing a group of kids a book. A techno-savvy prankster put images of naked women on the open pages of the book. Anyone wants it, I'll e-mail it to them. Unless, of course, you'll report me to the Republican Thought Police.

... You remind me of Thomasso on this thread, who will cast insults without feeling the need to justify his claims in any way- and for that reason I consider him not only a cretin, but a piece of human
excrement as well..

Whoa, Larry -- you are really going over the top.

I would prefer it if someone ideologically closer to you than I am would call you on this; you might take him/her more seriously. But that may not matter that much, because I have followed your posts on many other threads, and you always seem to follow the same pattern.

1) You always seem to end up by insulting half the people on the thread you are posting on, which sooner or later, necessitates your moving on to a new one.

2) You always complain that other people are insulting you, although you feel it is okay for you to insult them, as long as you "justify" it, "back it up" in some way. May I point out that an insult is an insult is an insult, "justified" or not.

3) Even in cases where I personally would agree with your argument, I deplore your tendency to damn the sinner rather than the sin. Rather than call someone's argument "idiotic" (which is a bit strong, in the first place), you take it upon yourself to call your interlocutor an "idiot", or more frequently, a "cretin."

4) You characteristically attack your interlocutor's intellect. As I said above, your favorite epithets are "idiot" and "cretin," with "tedious bore" as a close runner-up. Granted, you do have one favorite that has nothing to do with intellectual functions, namely, "piece of excrement" (love that euphemism!).

5) Things get even worse when you expand on your low estimation of your target's intellect. You then deliver yourself of sentences like the following:

"It is utterly laughable that someone of X's demonstrated intellectual stature participates in the affairs of state even to the extent of electing a leader." (In other words, X is too dumb even to be allowed to vote.)

"To think that such cretins breath oxygen and reproduce on this earth!" (In other words, it would be better if cretins like X were not allowed to breathe at all, let alone reproduce.)

Larry, I don't think you really grasp how sick this all sounds. I can't believe you really mean it. Next time you feel the urge to rant and rave at someone, take five. Or take a deep breath. Take something. And remember that other people are human, too, with feelings that can be wounded. They are NOT pieces of shit (let's drop your silly euphemism).
