I don't agree, antitrades. The lawsuit may be responsible for a few daily fluctuations, yes, but for both long and short term valuation I doubt the lawsuit has much to do with anything.

Breaking through the psychological lid on Sun's valuation is sort of like real estate. Only three factors matter: earnings, earnings, and earnings. The next level will be reached after the street in general is satisfied that Sun's vision is contributing, or at least is very likely to contribute in the immediate future, to its bottom line. Sun isn't valued like Yahoo (a collective fantasy) or Microsoft (a monopoly). It's valued more like a stock. Sun has to prove that its vision leads to products, and the products lead to earnings growth.

Maybe we'll get a little good news on October 15. Here's hoping.
