Well people, was out on business and I missed the whole party! Shucks!! However, what strikes me is that there still something fishy here. I'm trying not to be skeptical, but I've been had before so maybe I'm more cautious than I need to be. Someone posted earlier that all the OEM announcements didn't do squat for the price except maybe add buyers for the big sellers. Was today's move logical in the context of what has been happening or more of a market related updraft? Sure IBM's announcement is great but they sell less than Dell and that (Dell) oem deal didn't help, right? So what gives.

Also, yesterday we had a big block of Nov 15 calls traded and today we had 3105 Nov 16 contracts traded in 24 trades. What do you all make of this? Did someone sell Nov 16 calls to cover today's 1$ rise or is someone buying on the upswing? If the latter, why didn't they buy yesterday at a cheaper price?

When yahoo, with no earnings and small sales, can rise another 14$ US (still wish I had some of that)on top of an already overpriced stock, the markets are starting to seem like crap shoots totally ignoring company fundamentals. Is this also why ATI has been dropping for no reason or rose today for no real fundamental reason?
All guesses welcome.

Marc, I noticed the link you mentioned (by Ski) mentions ATI in conjunction with the EN series only. But, today's announcement is talking about the ES series (which is geared towards the higher end PCs). Could this be the right explanation as to why ATI made an announcement today?
