Do not bet against wisdom ! Gumpy, Situation simplified. 1. Only US traded securities and no derivatives. 2. Pick any stock you like any price but limit stock amount to 5000 shares. So its up to the trader. 3. Shorting - Minimum price you will allow is 5$ so if you short at 3$ you automatically get calculated with a $2 loss. If you short at $7 maximum profit is $2. 4. Use published closing prices. (Very important for you to adopt this one) Since the only realistic price would be Buying 30 minutes into the opening and settling 30 minutes before the close. Thinly traded stocks will gather a huge unrealistic bid/offer as soon as 4:01 hits the clock. Signal to players the market is closed. You will see the bid/offer outside the next days range. So even if you are trying to be realistic with this game, how real are the$$$$. Use the published numbers as all players will have access to this information. The Bid/Offer is only for Professionals. Ones like yourself. Just my thoughts, I will be happy with a green number this round. The game pitch is tweeked up a notch.
