Reuters Story Out Yesterday...But Goldman was buying...Hmmmmm. From Yahoo Post.. I saw that Reuters story yesterday mid-afternoon. It said he "downplayed" a CIEN merger. But the story never appeared again until 1am this morning. Re-written. Could be several reasons for the story: 1) CIEN may have already agreed to be purchased by Ascend or somebody else. 2) CSCO wording is vague...they don't want to fuel a stock price increase in CIEN. 3) CSCO is on the attack...may have lost war to LU. 4) Story is a fraud. I think it's absurd for the CEO of CSCO to go out of hiw way to negatively say anything bad about CIEN when they are cooperating on major intiatives. Again, I saw it yesterday (about 2pm est). If I saw, Goldman Sachs saw it as well and bought all the shares they could.
