Good attitude. If more people would be that honest, we probably woudln't be having these discussions today. There have been any number of past statements by people on both sides of the aisle (note all the quotations of Bill and Hillary's comments from the Watergate period) that are coming back to haunt them now. It seems they didn't really see past the politics to the principles when they made their original comments.

As regards Starr's comments. From everything I've heard of him, he really believes the quote. That may have been one of the things that drove him over the line into making the investigation personal. That willingness to excess is also probably what scares people like Michelle on this board when they discuss the religious right. As I've said before, there are examples of extremism on both sides, and it isn't ever for the good of the country that I have seen.
