I have had a similar experience recently. I mentioned that I had purchased some gold mining stocks to a friend who works for an investment information association and he acted like I was the biggest idiot he had ever met. I was very shocked at his reaction. I didn't expect him to support my decision, but I certainly didn't expect him to treat me like I was a fool.

When I asked him how well he had been doing in the market lately he told me about the fairly large % losses his portfolio had suffered over the last few months. When I told him that I had gone to mostly cash before the market had reversed, he started rolling his eyes and tried to start a lecture on market timing.

I got a big laugh out of this encounter. I have a feeling there are way too many bulls out there who think exactly as my friend. They believe this bull will never end.
