Re: "way too many bulls"

Per today's WSJ, put/call ratio back down to .4. Everybody loading up on their DELL, MSFT, etc.

Would love to see all of yesterday's gains get vaporized today. Half-way there on the Dow.

Mike

Mike,

I guess we mis-timed VTSS. Has made a nice recovery. I didn't go long on it yet. I think we'll get another chance to get it lower.

Mike, I've advised three of the friends I manage accounts for and they too all rolled their eyes and smiled when I suggested gold. I bought if for 'em anyway and they are now really smilin' w/out the rolling eyes. :)

Yes, you've hit on something. Gold is in the doghouse and the permabulls are running through the neighborhoods. As much as we think there is a lot of negativity out there, I do believe most of the world's bears are here and on the TSO thread. We are really a small bunch. When the world turns our direction, it will be time to buy calls.

Nice moves today. This market never fails to amaze me. UN back in the black for me and those gold stocks...yummy!

Mike, me too have missed the boat on VTSS this time. You better keep us in close tap on this one in the next round. Shall we short now?

Your friend is a typical bias person who is loyal to whomever pays his salary. How many times have we seen people like him appear on CNBC and makes all sorts of bullish comments. If any shorters appear, the anchors immediately said "any recommendations to short stocks are made by so-and-so and not by CNBC". They always advise not to time the market. They always presume the audience is a bunch of idiots or newbies who can only think the market only goes up and if it goes down it will go up again tomorrow.

Doc, I hope you sold your COMS right out from opening bell yesterday. I got screwed on my NBTY today, got stopped out for a loss. INTV short is beginning to pay divident but NKE put sucks. Also put UN and KMB today. KMB is interesting, it went up strong today with no news.
