MSFT didn't need to take care of AOL. The point is they didn't give up their quest to own a piece of the online market. MSFT came in only after they saw a market for online access. Now that they see a market for search engines, they will surely put forth their own search engines with a marketing blitz to get a piece of the action. It's always been their strategy to offer an alternative superior product as soon as they see a market opportunity. Bharat
