zsteve, the only comment I want to make is that press release came out at 1:24 PM EST, and Rambus only went higher after it did. So I guess the market really doesn't care.

Although high-speed Rambus memory technology is seen as the next major evolutionary step in the memory market, it is not predicted to see widescale use for at least another year. In the meantime, several manufacturers are pushing forward with DDR SDRAM development

Seems to read as if DDR SDRAM will only see a limited life span. That is, RDRAM is still slated to be the main memory of the future. At least I hope so! <g>
