James - I wish you a long and prosperous DRP with ENE. So far, she's been holding pretty steady in the low 50s despite all of this market volatility. Earnings are due out the 14th of Oct I think, so we may see another short-term runup then a little pullback after they are announced. I like ENE's moves thus far placing it in nice partnership roles in several countries that have been beaten up, which is letting ENE strengthen its hands across the globe. Also, I liked EOG being upgraded and the EOTT deal should provide additional earnings going forward as well, as their transmission capacity increased 3-fold.

cheers,
geoff

Hey James, excellent earnings this Q, beating the street and increasing the dividend to $1.

From Bloomberg:

Net income rose to $168 million, or 47 cents a share, from $134 million, or 42 cents a share, in the same quarter last year. The company was expected to earn 45 cents a share.

Enron also said it would raise its annual dividend by 5 cents, to $1 a share.

This appears to be good news, and next Q looks rosey as well. EOG's 81% decline in revenue was more than offset by gains from natural gas and power sales businesses.

later,
geoff
