I'm using the road runner cable modem in Honolulu and it's great... beats the old 28.8 tel modem, but I still have it hooked up just in case the cable goes out.. heh heh

Dale, In short, the cable modem access will put a grin on your face that you can't wipe off. Once you go to cable there's no going back to POTS.

It'll probably make you reassess the old processor centric vs. bandwidth equation.

I"m not familiar with Media One but the @Home network is excellent!
They cache sites on their own high speed parallel backbone to give greater transfer rates. TH eprice is darn reasonable too if you consider not having to get a second phone line. Anyway the speed alone is enough to convince you I'm sure. Enjoy!
