Thank you for the info.

A/P is getting a little high. Is he borrowing again, to prop up the cash reserves?

It appears some analysts pointed to the same issues I raised about R&D spending being low. They announced that the layoff at Orem, UTAH, would save approx. $33M a year (approx. $8M per quarter), which is the amount they expect to be profitable by next quarter. Doing very simple math, it implies that they plan for similar sales figures (remember 4Q is always the highest for Corel, with XMas sales).

Yes they are headed in the right direction. They're losses are due to write-offs. But will they have more write-offs in a year, implying they may never actually make $$$$.

Ciao!
Jim Shaw

After Intel makes more uP price cuts in late OCT, a low end PC could be bought for around US$600 slightly less than a low end NetWinder at US$799. Plus the cheapy PC using Partion Magic will be able to Dual Boot Windows and LINUX.

>>> Netwinder was a popular subject for questions. Corel said that sales were currently "in the hundreds." They talked of great interest by many parties: channel, VARS, OEMs and more, but had no specifics and no revenue projections. Netwinder could still be smoke in my opinion.<<<
