Business Week Stocks: the following issues were mentioned favorably in the latest "Inside Wall Street" column -- 3Com
(COMS 30 3/4 +5/16), Xomed Surgical Products (XOMD 37 1/2 -1 1/4), and IVI Checkmate (CMIV 5 1/4 +3/8);
3Com is again talked about as a take-over interest of either Intel (INTC 85 13/16 +1/2), and Lucent Technologies (LU 75 3/8
-1 1/8); XOMD is seen hitting $52 a share in 18 months according to an ING Baring Furman Selz analyst; and CMIV could be
a winner due to interest from French concern Ingenico and could rise to $11 a share.....

I don't like the idea that COMS goes up with rumors moreso
than fundamentals, but with the market a shaky as it is,
I'll take any positives any way they come.
