Musicland Applauds DreamWorks' DVD Support

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Musicland Stores Corporation
(NYSE: MLG) today applauded DreamWorks Home Entertainment's endorsement of the
Digital Video Disc (DVD) format. DreamWorks is the final major studio to
endorse DVD.
"This move means that all movies -- classics, recent hit movies, and even
theatrical movies yet to open -- will over time be available on DVD," said
Peter Busch, Musicland's vice president of video merchandising. "This is a
good move for the industry, and especially for consumers who were unsure of
the digital format's future."
Musicland has been a major supporter of DVD since its introduction in
1997. In the second quarter, DVD accounted for 10.5 percent of Musicland's
video sales, and that percentage continues to grow.
