If that's what you mean by TA then I've got no problem with it, although I'm focused more on investing than trading. However most TA proponents I've encountered stress the need to apply judgement, and have said that TA is as much art as science. If you know of any mechanical TA strategies that work in the real world and can be applied by a humble individual investor, I'd love to hear about them.

I do remain a little skeptical though. I believe the folks at LTC claimed to have a system similar to what you describe above ;-).

Why in God's name would you want to remove "judgement" from your decision process? And why should I listen to your thoughts (judgements) if you do believe that. I don't. I want to remove emotion - fear and greed - from my process, but judgement IS my decision process. Or am I missing something?
