Well, looking like we'll hit 115 easily today. It's too much of a pain to cover my shorts at this point, so I'm just going to head for the beach and take a look at the stock monday. I find it amazing that no matter how much negative news is thrown at this stock, it just keeps going up. The momo scam artists would like to see this stock trading dollar for dollar with Yahoo and AOL, around 115-118.

Just like the other search engines used to trade at the exact same prices, I think AMZN and AOL and YHOO will- at least until next earnings release when people realize that AMZN is different in that it is still bleeding red ink and will do so well into the next century..

MORE DISCLOSURE? He's not the only one. On Sept. 28, SEC chief Arthur
Levitt will give a speech at New York University outlining plans to improve the
accuracy of earnings. ''We have become concerned that the quality of
financial reporting is eroding,'' Levitt says. In recent weeks, the SEC's new
chief accountant, Lynn Turner, has met with officials of Big Five accounting
firms, Wall Street analysts, and CFOs to discuss concerns. ''If the basic
accounting foundation ever loses credibility with investors,'' Turner says,
''then the whole [investing] process would fall apart.''
