You are absolutely correct about situational ethics. In fact, SI is a laboratory for situational ethics. For example, "Hey a little bird told me this stock is really going to fly. It will hit 3 by Friday."

You see things similar to that one all the time. Are they lies? Do we care? Do we believe them? Do we kick people out for saying them? Yes. Maybe. No. No.

So the situational context IS important to the understanding of the seriousness.

Not only that I think its must be OK to commit Rape. At least it will be a lot easier to get away with it since it is now OK to lie about it.
