You are correct.

Dell maintains a low cost structure by dealing with only one CPU vendor that can supply all its requirements - Intel.

Mark, Dell's success guarentees that sales of high-end Intel chips will be good! Dell uses only Intel chips and their asp is around $2400. And yes, XEON chips is in VERY HIGH demand. This will be a main source of revenue and earnings growth for Intel for the forseable future.
