mrknowitall,

According to Monica's testimony, Vernon Jordan made the comment to her that maybe someday after Mr. Clinton leaves the White House the two of them might get together -- her reply was "we already have!".....then Mr. Jordan focused on finding her a new position.

It's amazing to me that everyone assumes everything she had to say is "The Word according to Monica." The Jordan exchange in particular looks suspicious -- why would he make such an outrageous remark to a 22-yr old intern??

Considering the detail she was willing to reveal, I suspect she embellished or exaggerated her testimony somewhat. Even if she did, that does not excuse the Pres. in any way for being selfish, reckless & foolish.

I must admit that his sudden dismissal of the "contrite" Bill once the latest polls were released, did not sit well with me:o)

He needs to be reminded somehow that he's skating on thin ice. If the moderates among us see only "fighting spirit" and none of his "have only myself to blame" attitude, he'll fall so quickly in the polls Monica will seem like a tortoise.....hahahaha.....(my outrageous pun cancelled out yours:o)
