Im sorry to say that the entire enterprise software sector is just not where I want to be right now. Its not even worth shorting because we dont have the swings anymore.... well I recently had a Sap short that worked out well but Im not going to do it again until mid-next year.

I think the apps business is starting to look like the engines earlier this year. Starting in about March I think, all the dbms vendors were so flat it didnt make any sense to play them. Only recently has Oracle finally started to move up but on a percentage basis it hasnt been by much. Id rather just be in Dell.

Guess Im just agreeing with your post, more or less.

Thanks G for an excellent response. From your description, is it fair to conclude that the players aren't willing to get long until after earnings in October?
