Anyone know what today's bail from NGEN was due to?

Maybe somebody with a rather large account follows
Doctor Goodhybe's postings:

Besides Hyseq, the other notable absence from the field
at GSAC-X was Nanogen

Message 5834505

hmmm, maybe I was a bit wreckless getting into HYSQ?
Still, near book value, interesting claims, and there is
that Lehman blurb I sited on the Hyseq thread. Any thoughts?
Which of the genomics/bioinformatics companies does BVF own?

Ah, so many questions (gosh, I hope that I occasionally ask
an intelligent question). And along those lines, I got
a book recommendation from another member of SI, biotech
newbies on the thread with lots of free time like me should
check it out-- Molecular Biology of the Cell.
amazon.com
Got a very good review from the 13 customers of Amazon.com
who responded. "A big, beautiful (now in color throughout),
up-to-date survey of cell biology for the introductory university
course. The text is divided into four sections: introduction to
the cell; molecular genetics; internal organization of the cell;
and cells in their social context."

At $75 seems pricy, but lots of color pictures, mmmm Mike likes
pictures--...what the heck, made $800 trading XOMA this week,
I think I'll treat myself;-)
