Maybe what the Republicans really want to do is what the Chinese did in the Cultural Revolution. Remember those pictures of men with dunce caps on and placards around their necks getting marched through the streets past jeering crowds? This hypocritical holier-than-thou hounding is despicable!

Ken Starr is certain to go down in history as every bit as bad a disaster as Joe McCarthy was. Turns out now that Monica Lewinsky's testimony that Clinton never asked her to lie and that he never tried to get her a job to influence her testimony never made it into his final report!

Let's face it... who hasn't had sex with someone at work? Who hasn't lied about sex? Ever have anyone ever try to interrogate you on the details under penalty of perjury? Name any politician that hasn't tried to get a job for someone ... for any reason. As a point of fact, every single civil case has lies in it and liars testifying. Everybody shades things as they see it and want it to appear. Think Starr never lied, or withheld things or shaded things a bit when he represented tobacco companies?

Of all the things that are really bizarre here it is taping a friend while you are trying to entrap them. Anybody on this thread ever done THAT?

Is Starr going to be as diligent going after his witness Linda Tripp with the same ah, enthusiasm, as he has Clinton? This case would have been thrown out and Starr fired in any other DA office.

Now Henry Hyde wants to consider all things relative to whether Clinton is fit to be President. Who asked him to try to overturn the election? Who gave him and his Republican dominated committee the right or the authority to determine who is fit or not? What will THAT attempt do to separation of powers concept in the future?

I have before but I will NEVER vote for a Republican again for as long as I live! They should, and I think they will, reap a backlash for what they have done to the Constitution and the Presidency.
