phb, not sure i'm convinced yet. here's why. the release wasn't all that flattering to mu. sure, the bulls pulled out intc and started buying. what they left out is that the release said:

1. intc wants lehi running - increasing supply.
2. intc wants low dram prices when mu is already losing money.

this ISN'T very good news for the short to medium term unless MAJOR competitors fold their hands.

if kip were to create a bogus rumor he would not have done it like this. not flattering enough. he isn't smart enough to not make it as flattering so it is more believable.

now, whether negotiations break down... that is another matter altogether.

PH, I agree that the Intel story should be nonsense. But INTC has been actively stupid for quite a few quarters, lately, so I'm not certain. MB
