I thought you said that Intel makes Mercedez and AMD makes Chevy. If it was true then the 25% discount price is justifiable. But no, Intel doesn't feel that PII is a Mercedez. They are willing to drop the price of their Mercedez to compete with the Chevy. Thus your perception is "twisted".

None at all. I understand semiconductor better than an average investor. I understand cycle time, die size, cost of packaging, cost of testing, cost of cartridge, and cost of expensive high speed SRAM. Yet people on this thread continues to say that a PII is cheaper to make than a K6-2. Perhaps they are blindly listening to your preaching. At $100 ASP there is good money to be made for AMD. Can't wait till the PII-400 drops to $100. I will then buy one for display.
