Isn't it unusual for a company to publish projected profits. Most companies leave that for analyst's to try to guess. Results are usually published after the fact.

Laser,

I did a little research. In Albuquerque, crushed pink stone is selling for $27/ton ($35/yard). Pricing in the Phoenix area should be similar. I assume that the retailer has a 20% mark up so the wholesaler/manufacturer is probably getting about $21/ton. The material has to be trucked about 100 miles. Conservative rates for this type of transportation, with no back haul, are about $.10 per ton mile so the freight from the mine to Phoenix is about $10. For material that has to be stripped, blasted screened and crushed, costs should run about $7 per ton. This would leave a profit of $4.00 per ton.

This type of material usually comes in two sizes, 3" to 8" rock and 1" rock. The miner is probably rejecting 15% to 20% of the mined material because it would be to fine for customer use. When people by stone they don't like too much sand in it.

At $4.00 per ton, the miner would have to be producing 250,000 tons per year for $1,000,000 profit to fund crater development. That would be almost 1,000 tons per day on a five day a week basis.

Disclaimer: These numbers are based on information I have researched or estimated or on my own experience.
