Sorry, but secular humanism is a contradiction to Christian beliefs, so believe what you will about yourself, but in no way are you both a "secular humanist as much as you are a Christian".

Oh go fry yourself, fundamentalist bigot. It may be a contradiction to your born again (small minded, escape for the limited) Christian beliefs, but not to my Episcopalian ones. You've pissed me off, you little pea brained low earning jerko. You started this. Read above, and back, in this exchange.

Go away, you ill educated fly. What were YOUR SAT scores? Where did you go to collage, and graduate school? What has been YOUR peak earning year? And just how much do you know of something outside of your professional/vocational field? What's your knowledge of history and literature? Of the cultures and sensibilities, at the present time, of foreign lands? And the like?

You seem a religious bigoted bore, insulated from your limitations by the absolute certainty of your silly, uneducated ideas. You style yourself righteous, and therefore although small, and ignorant, quite confident that your supertitions are the received word of God, and right in all that matters.

Boring, ineffective, failing. Ain't what its been about for, say, 500 years. Or better.

Doug

Hi Dwight E. Karlsen; Janet Reno knows how to prosecute perjury:

September 17, Press Conference, Janet Reno:

QUESTION: Have you ever prosecuted someone for perjury?

ATTORNEY GENERAL RENO: Have I ever prosecuted somebody for perjury?

QUESTION: Yes.

ATTORNEY GENERAL RENO: Yes.

usdoj.gov

Did a search for the word "misleading" on the DOJ web site.
Found some cases where people testified like Clinton did,
sort of dancing around the truth. They got in trouble.
One particular case showed up. Another case where
the defendant's statement could have been interpreted
as being truthful, but he didn't correct his attorney when
the attorney made the false statement. He got nailed for
perjury:

31. Although the defense presented Mr. Stockdale and
Mr. Lojo as witnesses to UAI's economic viability, it is clear
today that they were testifying about work being done by
Freeman's new company, UAN, a company whose very
existence at the time of sentencing remained unknown to
the Court, Probation and the Government. The Court finds
that this misleading testimony was offered by the defendants
as part of the aforesaid plan to deceive the Government,
Probation and the Court.
32. Mr. Freeman made no effort at sentencing to clear up
the confusion caused by the aforesaid testimony. Similarly he
said nothing when his counsel added to the confusion with the
following argument:

usdoj.gov

A witness deliberately causing a court to be confused about
material facts is something we cannot allow to happen in our
court system. Having it done by the president is not something
that the senate will easily be able to forgive.

At this point, it looks like a vote for impeachment in the
house will pass easily, as Carter suggested. Carter then
went on to say that the senate will not be able to vote to
convict. My guess is that the senate trial would not be
so easy to predict. For one thing, we really don't yet
know what the charges will be.

Good grief, Dwight, you are not seriously comparing Doug to Caligula (maybe you too could have appointed your horse to be a senator)??!!

Ha, ha -- Gotta watch that righteous indignation. It can wash you overboard.

As for "secular humanism," I suspect Doug was pushing your buttons. He knows you consider "secular humanism" evil. But in point of fact, humanism is fully compatible with certain forms of Christian belief, if not with yours. I trust you will grant that there is great diversity within Christianity.
