I don't think any of those assumptions really apply now...
1. The K6-2 on .25, as you will soon see, has saved AMDs bottom line quite well.
2. AMd actullay caught Intel with the K6-233 speed wise but Intel, playing the MHz game jerri-rigged the P-II to run at higher clockspeeds, jumped ahead again. AMD is just now closing the gap.
3. The quarter AMD should turn the quarter is just now ending. If they don't, well we'll see.

What would you think if the K7 demoed on .18u running at 650 Mhz?
Also what if Motorola has been running the K7 for weeks now...

JIm
