Patrice,
Timing this puppy, re: seel at 36 with the intent to buy back at 34... Seems tough, especially, if it has momentum and your target is 40.

Just MHO.

Patrice,
No I have been holding CBS or if you like WX for the last 4 years
through all the ups and downs. Yes , I have thought of trading the shares on the ups and downs - but decided against it. The last time I tried to time a holding that I had, it was taken over 5 weeks after I sold - it cost me a lot of money.
Re the TWX thing - it is purely my speculation and has been for the last year or so. Cox communications owns local TV here in Atlanta
they are also cable. Why would TWX want a network - vertical integration - they produce the show or the movie - they show it on their network then they show it on their cable channels and they own the shows so they can then be sold overseas.
Re splitting the TV locals and the TV networks, I do not think that it is unfair - the networks used to be profitable but through bad management decisions they let their greatest asset slip away from them. The networks would make the shows famous and get none of the residuals - that is now changing as a profitable network is now essential CBS now ownsI belive an interest in 65% of the fall line up
and I want to say that GE - which got off to a late start will have an interest in 50% of it programs. The networks have run into a brick wall and they have to produce profits. No newcaster on CNN
makes $6 million a year like Rather , Brokaw or Jennings so are the
news readers worth the money - not in my opinion - I actually think that I prefer to look at Bonnie Batista of CNN rather than any of the other three - and you know that Ted Turner is not paying her $6 Million. So to answer your question : No I do not think that I am taking it out of context.
I belive that you and I will do well with our CBS shares in the near future and I do not belive that mid 40's is out of the question.
However, I do not see Jordans fingerprints on any of it. Actually
if anyone wants to highlight the things or decisions that can be attributed to Jordan alone I will stand corrected
John
