You seem to be forgetting that shipped units are counted as sold. This means that if 50 iMacs are sitting in a CompUSA somewhere, they are counted as sold units.

I'm more worried about unsold inventories building again this quarter. I walked into a local Apple store called The Computer Store recently, and there were over 30 iMacs sitting on the floor, and a number of G3 desktop units. No minitowers or PowerBooks were in evidence.

Now, it's entirely possible that they had just received a shipment and hadn't given all the machines out to backorders yet, but I dunno.
