ANOTHER VIEW ON ABORTION--

When a sperm unites with an egg a living, growing process of the child begins inside a womb. This process is continued at the birth of the child outside the womb, and the life that began at conception continues until death at some future date.

In the event of the mother's life being endangered I can understand giving her a choice of saving her life or the unborn child's life. And I can understand giving a victim of rape or incest the choice of having an abortion or not. To me, other abortions are taking the life of an innocent child.

I believe that most young ladies who make mistakes and get pregnant are not hardened criminals in any sense, but are frightened, terrified children that need help. How much better it would be to help them find a shelter where they can live, receive moral and spiritual support until the child is born than to send them to an abortion clinic to do something that I am sure will have a lasting effect on their lives.

I believe that our country is shirking it's moral responsibilty by allowing abortions to continue as they are at this time, and yes, I believe that at some time in the future we will be held responsible for it. Call me a kook or whatever you please but this is truth as I see it.

Thank you and good evening,
dd

Michael,

I agree with your position on partial birth abortions -- it is inhuman and any reasonable woman realizes it should not be permitted.

If this was the only reservation the "ayotollahs" had expressed with the pro-choice position, I'd have no argument with them.

The Supreme Court should have decided long ago at what point in fetus development it is viable on its' own and therefore not solely a part of the woman's body.

Mike,

Our Dearest Ann has the potential to become a friend so I don't want to put "a bee in her bonnet" again and give her an excuse for more female scorn . Wasn't that a cute old phrase.

Should you happened to read some of her postings to me, you will see her mantra about being a lifegiver with high responsibilities and obligations to making the world better for all man ops women/mankind.

Yet, her philosophical position regarding abortion, the legal genocide of helpless babies, would imply another descriptive job title, Terminators?
