Take a look at this.

exchange2000.com

And then this:

exchange2000.com

I think virtually anyone will lie under oath if 1) they believe they are being asked questions which they truly believe shouldn't have to answer, and which are remote from the issues of the trial; 2) they think the chances of their being caught and really proven to have lied are remote enough; and 3) the consequences to them of telling the full truth are severe enough.

Most of us are fortunate enough to never be put in that situation. It makes the sermonizing so much easier.

As for Gates - if he lied under oath, let them investigate and bring the case. Just because he's the world's richest man doesn't make him any more immune than you believe Bill Clinton should be.

Great idea Mr. K! Forget the fact that business is full of liars and manipulators. Lets bring them all down shall we? Start with this DOJ/Msft query. We know Ellson is lying when he says Msft destroyed Oracle biz... in fact, Lane and Ellison took their eye off the ball in 1995, which is the real problem. Lane and Ellison should go to jail for telling the DOJ that Msft is all thats wrong with Oracle. Also McNealy should go to jail because he is claiming Msft practices with NT are destructive to unix and Sun, when in fact part of the problem is the failure of the unix consortium 8 years ago... if McNealy didnt specifically meantion this, he should be jailed correct? Because we all know its true. Lastly, M. Dell, who has testified in Msfts behalf, claiming that Msft did NOT unfairly force Dell into an Msft-only position..... hmmm, sounds like a LIE to me. The only question is how long should each of these guys serve. Gates should be jailed for longer than the other 3 of course.
