Paul, I did listen to your earlier advice to buy INTC $85 puts but the premiums were WAY too high. It did short a small amount, though, at $85 3/4 (only 300 shares). I realize this is a small amount to you..but what do you think ..is this a good time to short it?..I already have an ample amount of Jan 2000 leap puts at $75.. Advice appreciated.

Paul,the CEO of Varian Associates stated today that the consensus of opinion has the semi biz mired in a slump for another 4 to 6 quarters.Their semi division caused them to miss earnings estimates despite good earmings from their other two divisions.Any thoughts?

Paul, I'd like to ask what you think about the Microprocessor Forum being held in mid October. I may go out to Calif. to get a "hands on" viewpoint of what's happening out there in the tech arena. Being out here in New York, I may miss some valuable information of what may be going on in Silicon Valley. Do you think the forum is worth the time? I have so much $$$ tied up in Intel, I think it may be worth my while. Less than a 1/4 point move in the stock (on the upside of course)will pay for my whole trip! Also, it would be a great excuse to visit my good friend from college in San Fran - we always have a great time together. Regards, Doug
