Sun,

It's been my experience that the best drivers are the reference drivers no matter who you go with.

OFF-TOPIC...almost
Since it seems there's a large concentration of techies in this thread I would like to ask your opinion on the K6-II 300 chip. Is it any good for 3D gameplay, even without the 3DNOW! optimisation needed to take advantage of the chip 3D features?
I plan to purchase a Banshee/AMD K6-II combo soon. Not sure though. I'm not completely confident developers will care with an AMD chip feature (MMX syndrome). And an Intel PII 300 is still too expensive for me. So I have to be sure the K6-II is good in 3D stuff even without optimisation, as with the Intel brute-force floating point calculations approach.

I remember reading somewhere about a collaboration of some kind between 3DFX and AMD. Any news on that ?
