I was told that I was not on "the list" to receive the letter because I do not have my shares in my name... they are still held by the brokerage in street name (is that the correct term?). Anyway, they are not in my name. They suggested I call the brokerage to get a copy.

I called Quick & Reilly and they said the letter was not forwarded on because DGIV does not subscribe to their service to do that... new one on me. I would have figured that would be part of Q&R's service to me. They referred me to Digitcom.

I couldn't raise Digitcom on the phone (in IR anyway).

Call back to United indicated they could not release the information contained in the letter as it is not "public information" and only for the shareholders. Since there was no way they could confirm I was a shareholder, no info... other than the fact that a letter was issued.

Quite the run around, eh?

By the way, Cheryl Mitchell is also looking into this for me and trying to clarify what the letter means... an additional 50M shares or an additional 150M shares and the actual date for the meeting... also, the purpose for the additional authorization.

But, it seems to be awful short notice for a shareholders meeting.

Lazarus, seeing their was another reason to hold the shares in my name...
