<<The difference is that you guys, I assume you are an Repub, seem unable to mention one negative point about Newt----and calmly and blindly follow theparty line---without using you own reasoning ability--something wrong there>>

This, of course, can also be said of the people supporting Clinton. Both sides feel strongly on the issue, and neither side seems to be willing to discuss what I consider to be the real issue - can Clinton
be trusted with the power of the Presidency, or has he so compromised himself that he is susceptible to blackmail. Does he have the good judgement needed to make decisions regarding military actions, or would he base such decisions on political expediency? There are other similar issues, but I'm sure you catch my drift.

I don't like Gingrich or Dole either. Clinton and Dole were big on government spending and taxes. I don't much like Gingrich as well. I didn't agree with his handling of the Contract with America and he seems always to crave the spotlight as he is now trying to encroach on Hyde's job in the impeachment hearings. They overreached their mandate as did Clinton in 93/94. I've voted both Democrat and Republican in the past. On a scale of 1 for poor to 10 for excellent, I would rate Democrats a 1. The Republicans a 3 or a 4. And Clinton a 0. The Democrats are the party with the bankrupt social programs. All the programs that need financial rescue are Democrat programs: Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Welfare, etc. At least in the last case, we saw fit to start cutting back. The Democrats have enlarged the beneficiary class for the other programs as they were going bankrupt. The only things I don't agree with the Republicans are their positions on abortion and the size of government.

I thought this thread was supposed to be about the Clinton Scandals. I see nothing wrong with you starting another thread, however. ER
