Thanks for the information. Yep, it seems GTW was being added to the S&P 500 on April 24.....

Within a week GTW gained 10 points. However, this also coincided with a decent earnings report around the same time and an uptrending market in general.

However, I'm sure PSFTwill gain a few points.....if the market holds up.

All other things being equal, inclusion in the S&P 500 will increase demand for the stock in the long run.
As far as the short term is considered, at this time there is little if any net inflow into mutual funds so any positive short term effects will be over soon. The mutual fund buying public tends to buy rising markets and sell falling ones, so most of the full long term beneficial effects on demand won't be felt until the bear goes back into hibernation.
