Sergio, I almost sent the same post to you (LOL). We're probably too late. It's gonna tank pretty bad in the AM but it's hard to judge the impact of this FCC decision (not to allow the RBOCs to market QWST LD). Keep in mind the RBOC deal meant more to QWST before they bought LCI and its sales infrastructure. The results in the US West area were pretty spectacular though. Also, QWST is and will for the foreseeable future be focused mainly on business customers. This was reiterated strongly in a recent conference call by Joe Nacchio.

Today could play out as a perfect day to Move from US growth and income funds to overseas funds at todays close(long way away though<g>). Overseas markets down about 1/2% currently. If Greenies decision sparks a late day rally here(+100 pts.), we should see a rally tomorrow(late tonight) in the overseas markets(very good odds to take advantage of). I may have to go for the double, back to back W/ 2 1/2 twists in the pike position exchange this afternoon <lol!!>(only for a day though)...later DD
PS: I have parlayed my Mutual fund NAV, back to within 2% of the July high. This play will come to an end as volatility drys up...have to have better'n a 100pt swing for it to become predictable,IMO..

Amigos,

Anyone with thoughts on Cendant (CD)? They finally announced the amount they have to restate earnings. Still lots of mgmt turmoil. Does today's news define the bottom? Just tried buying some on margin and got a rejection from DLJDirect. They don't allow this stock to be bought on margin!

Sergio, Biotech - CORR,

For those following the Biotechs this one is getting hit pretty hard today. Have been downgraded by H+Q. If the pattern is typical there should be some type of rebound once it bases. Not sure where that is.

Sergio,

QWST: Short,,,I hope to shout!! Just when the nerves set in,
it went the right way for a change, even more.

For those interested Shorted CNS today too. Two downgrades
this week, closed on the 52 week low and the entire sector is
weaker due to worries over Sept. earnings and a forward looking
weaker Xmas. per CNBC report anyway.

I know you are taking some time off Sergio, enjoy, spend some
time with Karen and the kids, have a cocktail and rest.

Been to Ariz. lately? :-) ROFL "JUST GIVE ME THE DAMN TOTALS"
