Internet Cyberstation WBN-CLCK Providing Investment Research On Columbia Capital Corporation To Be Activated By Westergaard Broadcasting Network.com

Westergaard Projects $30 Million In Revenues For Calendar 1999 vs $3.2 Million Last Year As Credit Card Issuers Seek To Outsource Transaction Processing To Y2K Compliant Service Providers

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 29, 1998-- Westergaard Broadcasting Network.com (WBN) (www.wbn.com) will activate cyberstation WBN-CLCK this morning providing investment coverage on Texas based Columbia Capital Corp. (OTC BB: CLCK), a provider of transaction services to small/mid-market credit card issuers.

Under construction since mid-August, WBN-CLCK is being activated ahead of plan following announcement Friday of an agreement for Columbia to acquire the electronic processing business of American Banknote Corp. (NYSE: ABN - news).

While terms have yet to be revealed, Westergaard Broadcasting believes it may be reasonably assumed that the acquisition will translate favorably for Columbia shareholders reflecting economies of scale and synergies to be derived from combining CLCK's processing business servicing 700,000 credit card accounts and ABN's 700 merchant processing accounts.

Supported by Columbia's proprietary communications center and switching facilities, product and service offerings of the combined entities will include medical and university smart card programs, frequent buyer and loyalty programs, terminal sales and support, document management and distribution services, and point-of-sale terminal card processing.

WBN Editor John Westergaard commented: ''Anyone visiting Columbia's processing facilities in Abilene, as I did last month, could not fail but come away a little surprised and more than impressed at finding such a state-of-the-art high tech business tucked away in the oil producing agricultural heartland of West Texas.

''Columbia was formed from a merger of the 'back offices' of a local bank and oil company in Abilene to create an independent low cost credit card transaction processor. WBN estimates revenues will grow 10 fold from last year's $3.2 million to $30 million in 1999 and another 50-100% in year 2000 as small/middle market financial and other card issuers become increasingly desperate to outsource back office services to independent Y2K-compliant transaction processors of which Columbia is among the few.

''We at WBN know something about this subject. Our Westergaard Y2K Internet channel (www.y2ktimebomb.com) receives one million hits weekly from 80 nations worldwide seeking Y2K information and analysis.''

Westergaard went on to say, ''I see Columbia Capital as evolving into a Warren Buffet type 'Swamp Yankee Middle America Apple Knocker' which describes a cost conscious, focused management working from of an off the beaten track, low cost environment and thereby positioned to nip market share from industry biggies such as Electronic Data Systems (NYSE: EDS - news), First Data Corp. (NYSE: FDC - news), and Equifax (NYSE: EFX - news).''

Westergaard Broadcasting Network.com licenses and manages 18 Internet cyberstations presently in operation or under construction. It is a service of Westergaard Online Systems, Inc. (OTC BB: WSYS). Other services are Westergaard Year 2000, a leading provider of information and analysis of the Y2K Millennium Bug, Westergaard Year 2000 Speaker's Bureau, and Westergaard Security 2001 which provides investment analysis of the security/crime control industry.
