Barb - please keep us updated on your experience with them . I had looked at them as well, but being a postion trader was not sure I needed that much speed , considering how much it would increase my transaction costs. Will be interesting to know how they do with shorts .

Barb, have you ever considered using the Watcher software from Broadway Trading for your next account?

I know from your posts that you do a lot of shorting, and their software is extremely liberal regarding that.

I've used their remote version (at home) for about a year now, and can short any NASDAQ stock at any price (except for IPO's and KTEL) including stocks under $5.

I've been shorting HBCO the past two days without any problem with my Watcher account, yet when I try to use my Datek Online account, it won't let me.

I also have a new account with CyberTrader.

CyberTrader's software is very sophisticated (like MB's Realtick) but you have to ask permission to short certain stocks if they aren't already listed on the daily short list, and I find this to be a nuisance. Plus, Cybertrader usually limits me to 1000-2000 shares for shorting purposes, which is not always sufficient.

The Watcher software is DOS-based, doesn't have charting, and only offers trades in NASDAQ stocks. But for shorting purposes, it's my best account, bar none.
